Step 1: Choose Your Pocket Size

Thermal Pockets are available in 4 different sizes and can be used on all areas of the body. To choose the right size there are two things to consider: the length of your incision or injury and your body part.

Here’s a sizing guide to help you select the best Thermal Ice Pack for your post-surgical incision or general area of pain:

  • Small (6 in) Pocket - Wrist, Ankle, Breast
  • Medium (8 in) Pocket - Knee
  • Large (10 in) Pocket - Knee, Breast
  • Extra Large (12 in) Pocket - Abdomen, Hip

If you have questions about sizing, reach out to support@especiallyinnovative.com and we'll help you choose the best size!

Step 2: Use Your Thermal Pocket Daily

We make it easy for you to recover from injury or surgery. All you need to remember is to freeze, cover, and secure your Thermal Pocket. It’s as simple as that!

  • Freeze the gel pack for at least 1 hour prior to use
  • Place the gel pack inside of your Thermal Ice Pack
  • Cover your injury or incision site with your Thermal Pockets
  • Secure your Thermal Pockets with the compression band to hold it in place
  • Leave your Thermal Pockets on for 20 to 30 minutes at a time with a 1 hour rest period in between uses (remember to freeze your gel pack during the rest period)

Step 3: Reuse Your Thermal Pockets

Unlike other icing systems you can wash your Thermal Pockets cover (without the gel pack) for repeated use! Our medical-grade fabric is antibacterial and safe to use to relieve pain on post-surgical incisions and other wounds. No special cleaning approach needed — just throw your Thermal Pockets (without the gel pack) in on regular wash/dry settings!

Step 4: Recover Faster (With Less Pain)

The custom design of Thermal Pockets allows the right amount of cold to help numb your pain and decrease swelling — without the leaky mess of ice packs or adverse side effects of opiate medication. Thermal Pockets are even designed with the softest medical-grade fabric we could find, so they don't aggravate your skin or incision site.
